The New England Journal of Medicine has determined that maximum exercise tolerance "M.E.T.", creates life longevity. Everyone understands the benefits of exercise, but do you understand the consequences of being sedentary? Unfortunately, the harsh reality is that muscles atrophy (shrink) very rapidly creating a softer, weaker, flabbier physique, even if weight gain has not yet occurred. Inactivity also influences the cardiovascular system whereas lung capacity decreases, blood circulation is not as effective, and chances of clogged arteries increase. Finally, body fat levels elevate from the lack of exercise at the same time your metabolic rate decreases, which means what you use to be able to eat will now make you fat.

 

Remember the longer you go without consistent exercise the more these conditions worsen. The only difference between someone who gets started on a fitness program and Carlos Leg Pressingsomeone who does not is procrastination. For example, "I need to think about it", "I'm just looking", "It's too expensive", "I have no time" ... these are all excuses people use when they start procrastinating. Don't allow this to happen.
